Every year, CPAM honors one individual with the Laingen-Frentress Award. This award is given annually to one individual who exemplifies integrity and commitment to promoting quality and excellence in the concrete paving industry and is named after the late Arnie Laingen and Dan Frentress. The winner of this award is a surprise; they do not know they are receiving the award until it is announced at the Concrete Paving Award’s Banquet hosted each year in March.
Arnie Laingen became Executive Director of CPAM in 1983. It was Arnie’s integrity and commitment to quality and excellence at a very critical time that literally rebuilt the Concrete Paving Association of Minnesota while he was director of the organization from 1983 to 1985.
At the recommendation of the committee, CPAM’s Board of Directors voted unanimously to rename the award to the Laingen-Frentress Award to not only honor Arnie Laingen but also to honor the legacy of Dan Frentress.
Dan Frentress was a longtime friend of CPAM, serving as Executive Director for 15 years. During his time at CPAM, he was awarded the Arnie Laingen Award, which he considered one of his biggest accomplishments with the organization.
CPAM is excited to recognize MARK BINTZLER from Amrize on winning this year’s award! Mark was chosen by a committee made of past award winners for his outstanding integrity and commitment to promoting quality and excellence in the concrete paving industry in Minnesota. We are grateful for your exemplary contributions!
