Concrete Overlays
Concrete overlays offer cost-effective, versatile, and long-term solutions for almost any combination of pavement type and condition. They are a sustainable construction practice as well. Many concrete overlays have been in service for decades, extending the life of the original pavement structure for 30 years or more.
Benefits of concrete overlays include:
- A wide range of overlay thicknesses can be used.
- Existing pavement does not need to be removed and can provide additional structural and load-carrying capacity.
- Concrete overlay projects can be completed as quickly and efficiently as any other paving method.
- They typically last longer than asphalt of the same thickness.
- They are recyclable.
