Do you know of a concrete paving project completed in 2021 (or 2020 for a CPR project) that is a great
example of quality workmanship? If so, let us know! Nominations are currently being solicited by CPAM in
conjunction with MnDOT for consideration of a concrete paving Merit Award. These awards are a great
way to recognize all the hard work engineers, inspectors, and contractors put into their projects.

Like last year, the submittal process will be conducted electronically using an FTP site created by MnDOT. If you have not yet received an email from MnDOT with details on how to submit a project for consideration, please contact Rob Golish to receive the link. His email is: robert.golish@state.mn.us

The concrete pavement rating panel will review and rate the submitted survey information (including
construction photos, plan sheets, incentive / disincentive worksheets, and smoothness data) and select a
winner in each project category.

The awards will be presented at an awards banquet on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., held in
conjunction with CPAM’s Annual Concrete Paving Workshop in the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center in Duluth, MN on March 10 – 11.

Nominations must be received by December 10 to be considered for a Merit Award. Be sure to include plenty of photos of your project. Construction photos and photos of completed projects are an important part of the selection process.
