The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) has a free, online version of its popular StreetPave design software, which can be used for both roadway and highway pavement design. This easy-to-use online version allows a designer to use the software by following five quick steps: 1) Choose design/analysis type. 2) Enter project level design constraints/requirements. 3) Input traffic characteristics. 4) Input pavement properties. 5) Run analysis and view results. For an online version of ACPA's Streetpave program, follow the link below. For a full version of StreetPave v1.2, contact the CPAM office at 651.762.0402 or via email. The full version includes a number of additional features that allow designers to optimize concrete pavement thicknesses for municipal, county, and state highways and roadways. If you have the original version of StreetPave, ACPA has a free patch to upgrade it to Version 1.2. The upgrade includes enhancements to the dowel bar recommendation feature, additions to the life cycle cost module (inputs and reports), and a new interface for inputting and determining pavement characteristics. |
